General Health Measures
In all matters of health, CBE takes direction from Alberta Education and Alberta Health Services. Find out how you can reduce the spread and lessen the impact of illness in school communities.
Routine Immunizations
The CBE supports the AHS school-based immunization program.
Attendance Line: 403-777-8530 ext. 1
Please contact the office if your child will be absent or late. For more information about our policies, see our Attendance page.
When Children are Sick
Good health is necessary for effective learning. We also foster a consideration for the well-being of others. When a child is sick, parents will be called to come to pick up their child. For this reason, it is important that parents keep the school informed of current work and emergency phone numbers.
Nut Allergies
Haysboro School has a number of students with severe nut allergies. When sending snacks to school, please do not send snacks with nut products. Include an ingredient list when sending in a class snack. For school lunches please do not send peanut butter food products or any nut products (Nutella, almonds etc.) with your children.
Lice
There may be times during the school year when we have cases of head lice.
If your child has head lice, please contact the school and let us know. If your child has been exposed to lice at school we will notify you.
As a precaution, we ask all parents to check their child’s head frequently for a few weeks after any exposure. You can find more information on lice from myhealth.alberta.ca.
