Hello Haysboro Families!

Please see below for our weekly updates.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Thank you to all of the families who took time to meet with us over the last 2 days. We greatly appreciate all of your support and team work around growth and learning for our students! Thank you also to council for organizing dinner and baked treats for teachers during these conferences!

Staffing Update

Our library assistant, Ms. Alicia, has accepted an opportunity to work in a library at a school with a Spanish program. We are very happy for her as Spanish is her first language and wish her all the best in her new role. We're excited to share that our Educational Assistant, Janet Misutka, will be our new library assistant, as well as continuing on in her educational assistant role.

Clothing and Weather

As we move into the colder months, we want to remind you that students will go outside daily unless it is extremely cold or wet. Thank you in advance for ensuring that your Haysboro School student arrives with clothing appropriate for the weather.

Project Kindness: Monday December 1 - Friday December 12

This holiday season, Haysboro Hawks and their families are invited to support families in our school community by donating gift cards.  Gift cards to Superstore, Canadian Tire, Amazon, gas stations, grocery stores and fast food restaurants are appreciated.  Please choose denominations of $25 or less in order to support more families. Thank you for your generosity!

If your family would benefit from this support program, please contact Mr. Bennett at ecbennett@cbe.ab.ca or 403-777-8530.  All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Fun Lunch

Haysboro School Council is pleased to continue to offer monthly fun lunches through Healthy Hunger for the new school year.  Proceeds from fun lunches are directed back to the School Council account to support initiatives like student experiences, field trips, etc.

Meals will be delivered at lunchtime to students in grade 1-6 and Kindergarten students who attend Maple Roots after school program.

If you would like to participate, you can register with Healthy Hunger if you haven't already through the following link: https://healthyhunger.ca/parent-help

Parking lot

A gentle reminder that our school parking lot is fully assigned to staff in the school and the associated offices. While a spot may be open during the day, that staff member may be returning at any time. Additionally, for the safety of people who may be walking through the parking lot and the vehicles inside, we need to keep traffic to a minimum. If you are dropping off, picking up or coming in to ask a question, we ask that you park on the street (watch out for the bus zone!) and walk into our building. Thank you very much for your support.
