Hello Haysboro Families!

Please see below for our weekly updates.

Clothing and Weather

As we move into the colder months, we want to remind you that students will go outside daily unless it is extremely cold or wet. Thank you in advance for ensuring that your Haysboro School student arrives with clothing appropriate for the weather. We would also recommend that families consider keeping extra clothing in student backpacks for those days when it's a bit warmer and the melting snow makes their clothes wet.

Lost and Found

LAST CALL!

Winter Events

We had a great week learning along with some winter/holiday themed fun!  Thank you to all of the staff and students who joined in with some of the events and/or caroling in the gym!

Project Kindness

We want to express deep gratitude to everyone involved in Project Kindness. We are so lucky to be in a community where we can find ways to support each other and spread some kindness and care.

Fun Lunch

Haysboro School Council is pleased to continue to offer monthly fun lunches through Healthy Hunger for the new school year.  Proceeds from fun lunches are directed back to the School Council account to support initiatives like student experiences, field trips, etc.

Meals will be delivered at lunchtime to students in grade 1-6 and Kindergarten students who attend Maple Roots after school program.

If you would like to participate, you can register with Healthy Hunger if you haven't already through the following link: https://healthyhunger.ca/parent-help

 Parking lot

A gentle reminder that our school parking lot is fully assigned to staff in the school and the associated offices. While a spot may be open during the day, that staff member may be returning at any time. Additionally, for the safety of people who may be walking through the parking lot and the vehicles inside, we need to keep traffic to a minimum. If you are dropping off, picking up or coming in to ask a question, we ask that you park on the street (watch out for the bus zone!) and walk into our building. Thank you very much for your support.

Holiday Message

We are into our third year at Haysboro School and we are still constantly talking about what an amazing community this is. Having over 40 years of experience of educators between us, we can confidently say that this little school is special. Our staff are kind and dedicated, our students do a great job supporting each other in many ways and most importantly, they try very hard to do their best learning and be great members of their classroom communities. Our families are also incredible. From our dedicated and caring School Council to our volunteers, and families from around the world, you all play a huge role in making this place what it is. Thank you for working alongside us every daily. Your support helps us to support our students/your children in their learning, personal growth and friendships, every day.

However you celebrate at this time of year, we wish you all a wonderful and rejuvenating Holiday Season! While we're sure that everyone is looking forward to some rest, we are also excited to see everyone in 2026!
