Hello Haysboro Families!
Please see below for our weekly updates!
Project Kindness
For the second year in a row, Project Kindness has shown what a supportive community Haysboro is! We had two tables covered with donations for the Humane Society and we collected enough gift cards to support multiple families in our community over the holiday season. Thank you.
Thank you to Our School Council
A big thank you to our school council for all of the time, effort and care they put into Haysboro School. From organizing volunteers, to fun lunches and supporting field trips and residencies, your kindness and dedication have a huge impact on learning and community at Haysboro.
Parking Lot and Street Safety
A heartfelt thank you to those families who have adapted their street safety habits to model safe behaviour for our students. We know it may take a few extra moments, but your efforts are noticed and appreciated. A gentle reminder that as with all schools, the parking lot has stalls assigned and is not available for student drop off or pickup. With the slippery conditions and staff who are frequently in and out of the parking lot, reducing community traffic is important for personal and vehicle safety. Thank you in advance for parking on the street and walking your child to the school.
Clothing and Weather
As we move into the colder months, we want to remind you that we do monitor outdoor temperatures and students will go outside daily unless it is extremely cold or wet. Thank you in advance for ensuring that your Haysboro School student arrives with clothing appropriate for the weather.
Year End
As the calendar year comes to an end, we are grateful to be able to look back and reflect on a great wind-up to the 2024 school year. This time of year can be both exciting and challenging for students, staff and families depending on individual circumstances, and we are grateful for, and confident in this wonderful and supportive community. We would like to thank our students, staff and families for all of their work to connect with meaningful learning and for their kindness and thoughtful support of all Haysboro students on their journey to be the best versions of themselves, in an increasingly complex world. As the saying goes, it takes a village… and we appreciate all of you.
Thank you and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season, whatever that means to you and your family.
Have a great weekend,
Erin Bennett and Andrea Westine
