News from School Council
Casino: A sincere thank you to everyone who has already signed up to volunteer for our biggest fundraiser! Remember, anyone 18 and over can work the casino! No experience or police clearance necessary.
The following shifts are available:
Saturday, May 9th:
7:00 pm to 3:30 am: we need a general manager
11:15 pm to 3:30 am: we need 1 back up
Sunday, May 10th:
11:15 am to 7:30 pm: Chip runner
7:00 pm to 3:30 am: we need a general manager, banker, cashier and 1 back up
11:15 pm to 3:30 am: we need 3 countroom staff and 1 back up
We have one week to fill these last few shifts. If we cannot fill these shifts, we risk losing this valuable opportunity.

Spring Garden Fundraiser - Information was sent home with your child. Please note that you can order until May 14 with delivery on May 28.
School Council Meeting - Our next meeting is May 21 at 6:30 pm. You can join in person or online. Meeting links will be sent out closer to the date. All are welcome to attend!
Haysboro Read-A-Thon
Our Haysboro School Council's Read-a-Thon was a great success! Thank you to all the students who shared about their reading goals and the exciting ways they brought reading into their day. Thank you to families and teachers for supporting each student's reading! Final prizes will be shared on May 4.
Kindergarten Registration Open
Our Kindergarten Open House will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 5:30 pm. See you there!
Registration for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year is now open. When we plan staffing and class configurations, it is incredibly helpful to have as clear a picture as possible around student numbers.
If you know of anyone who is planning to register in our wonderful school (kindergarten or otherwise), please encourage them to do so as soon as possible! If there are any questions or if support is required, we are more than happy to chat with families. Please encourage them to call the school office!
Thank you to everyone who tells us that they are sharing positive messages about Haysboro School with their friends. You are an important reason why our little school continues to grow!
Fun Lunch
Haysboro School Council is pleased to continue to offer monthly fun lunches through Healthy Hunger for the new school year. Proceeds from fun lunches are directed back to the School Council account to support initiatives like student experiences, field trips, etc.
Meals will be delivered at lunchtime to students in grade 1-6 and Kindergarten students who attend Maple Roots after school program.

Tax Receipts
Child Care Tax Receipts – Lunch Supervision Child Care Tax Receipts for CBE Lunch Supervision (January 2025–December 2025) are now available through MyCBE.
Please download and/or print your online receipt to include with your 2025 tax return. Paper copies are no longer provided. If you do not already have a MyCBE account, please create one to access your receipt. MyCBE > Fees, Waivers & Service Registrations > Menu (three lines) > Tax Receipts For withdrawn students, please have parents email StudentFees@cbe.ab.ca.
