Welcome, Ms. Livingstone!
A big welcome to Ms. Livingstone who has now joined us full-time as our new Assistant Principal. She has commented many times about how friendly and welcoming our students, parents and staff are. Thank you so much for helping her feel welcome in this outstanding community! We are looking forward to getting to know her as she supports teaching and learning across Haysboro School.
Healthy Hunger
It's back! Haysboro School Council is pleased to continue to offer monthly fun lunches through Healthy Hunger. Meals will be delivered at lunch time to students in grade 1-6 and Kindergarten students who attend Maple Roots. Please register with Healthy Hunger if you haven't already through the link provided: https://healthyhunger.ca/parent-help. Lunches are delivered to the school and served at lunch time. Proceeds from fun lunches are directed back to school improvement, experiences and field trips. Our next Fun Lunch is Subway on October 20. Place order at least a week in advance of Fun Lunch date so you don't miss the order deadline.

Field Trips and Forms
We are getting into field trip season for several of our classes and we wanted to remind you to watch the class messages for information about upcoming activities and forms that may be coming home. If you may want to volunteer for some of these trips, please ensure that you have your current Police Clearance AND the annual volunteer on file with Ms. Gauthier.
We have also recently sent survey notices home to all families. You may see that no action is required if you have already completed these forms on PowerSchool / MyCBE, they are just for your information. If you have not responded, please take a moment to respond according to your preference as we will be beginning some of our student surveys in the coming weeks. These surveys are the same/similar to those that have been done in the past. The notification process has just been updated.

In Remembrance of Those Who Have Served
As we prepare to honor those who have served and continue to serve our country, we are asking families to share photos of veterans or active service members who are connected to your family.
Please send a copy of the photo—not the original—in either 4×6 or 5×7 size. To help us return the photo, please write the name of the family member it belongs to on the back.
Along with the photo, please provide any of the following information you know:
· Name of the veteran or active service member
· Relationship to your family
· When and where they served
· Date of birth
· Date of death, if applicable
Please send the photo and information by October 30. Photos can be:
· Sent to school with your child
· Dropped off at the school office
· E-mailed to Ms. Oliphant at ldoliphant@cbe.ab.ca

Fall Dance

Thursday October 22, 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Haysboro School Gym
Join us for our first school council event of the year: the ultimate dance party featuring DJ Chris Brennan! Potluck snack table, dancing, crafts, school community and so much fun! All Haysboro School students and families welcome! Parental supervision is required for all students attending and entry is by donation. Parking Reminder
In case you missed it in previous emails, the bus zone is now also designated as a NO STOPPING zone instead of No Parking. As it was recently changed, it would be reasonable to expect some enforcement at some point in the future. Please keep this in mind as you are picking up/dropping off students throughout the day.
