Fall Dance
Thank you so much to all of the Council Members and Parents who volunteered to put on the dance last night! We love it when the community has fun opportunities to come together!
Volunteers Needed - Alien Inline
If any parents in grades K to 4 are cleared and available to help out with putting on equipment, it would greatly be appreciated, particularly in our younger grades. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you are able to lend a hand.
In Remembrance of Those Who Have Served
As we prepare to honor those who have served and continue to serve our country, we are asking families to share photos of veterans or active service members who are connected to your family.
Please send a copy of the photo—not the original—in either 4×6 or 5×7 size. To help us return the photo, please write the name of the family member it belongs to on the back.
Along with the photo, please provide any of the following information you know:
· Name of the veteran or active service member
· Relationship to your family
· When and where they served
· Date of birth
· Date of death, if applicable
Please send the photo and information by October 30. Photos can be:
· Sent to school with your child
· Dropped off at the school office
· E-mailed to Ms. Oliphant at ldoliphant@cbe.ab.ca

Healthy Hunger
It's back! Haysboro School Council is pleased to continue to offer monthly fun lunches through Healthy Hunger. Meals will be delivered at lunch time to students in grade 1-6 and Kindergarten students who attend Maple Roots. Please register with Healthy Hunger if you haven't already through the link provided: https://healthyhunger.ca/parent-help. Lunches are delivered to the school and served at lunch time. Proceeds from fun lunches are directed back to school improvement, experiences and field trips. Our next Fun Lunch is Jugo Juice on November 24. Place order at least a week in advance of Fun Lunch date so you don't miss the order deadline.
Lost and Found
We have a growing number of items in our lost and found. Teachers will be taking classes to look for items. If your child is missing an item, please remind them to check lost and found. We will likely be packaging some items up by early December to donate, if they are not claimed.
Important Dates
October 26-29 - K-4 classes Alien Inline Skating - pack extra socks and a helmet labeled with your name
October 26-27 - Grade 5/6 Skating at the Oval
October 26 - Picture Retake Day
November 11-15 - Fall Break
